Polar Bears Upend Blues, 7-3
|
The Barton Springs Blues got a sterling performance from pitcher Hang-ki Cong, but the Billings Polar Bears still prevailed, 7-3. Cong threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Billings's record now stands at 29-29, placing them 6th in the Silver AA.
Billings used the timely hitting of Paul Hutchins to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Polar Bears on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Hutchins called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
