Guinea Pigs Bridle Blues, 2-0
|
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs went home winners at Experimental Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Michael Galloway. Galloway stifled the Barton Springs Blues, enabling Gwinnett to grab the 2-0 win. The save went to Francisco Díaz, his 16th this season. The Guinea Pigs, now 37-16, have won 7 in a row.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Galloway was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Barton Springs trailing 2-0, Galloway retired Dave van Schaack, who grounded out.
