Saboteurs Suffer 7-2 Loss to Blimps
Kane Blackwood made an impact in the 7-2 Akron win over Toledo. Blackwood, who is tied for 9th in the SAA in stolen bases with 16, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The save was credited to Ward Brooks, his 3rd. The Blimps have now won 4 straight.

Akron took a 7-2 lead on Blackwood's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Mike Thornton in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Akron to the win.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Blackwood told the Akron Herald.
