Sanders, Gwinnett Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Gwinnett rode a fine outing from starter Homer Sanders to victory over the Bethesda Atoms at Atoms Field. The final score was 2-0. Francisco Díaz was credited with the save for Gwinnett, his 14th of the season. Gwinnett has an impressive 33-16 record.
Sanders dominated for Gwinnett, raising his record to 6-1. Bethesda hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 3 hits over 8 innings while striking out 5.
