Fading Atoms Lose 8th Straight
|
The Billings Polar Bears downed the Bethesda Atoms, 4-3, at The Igloo. Pakomio Alepeleke led the way, going 2-for-3 for Billings. The winner was Billings reliever Todd Jackson, now 2-3. The loser was Rafael Galván. The losses continue to add up for Bethesda, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Paul Hutchins was the walk-off hero for Billings. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Polar Bears second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Alepeleke. "And not try to do too much."
