Torres Excels, But Cangrejos Fantasmas Win
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas had to overcome a big game from Toledo catcher Mario Torres to leave Ghost Crab Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. Torres was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Curt Lowery was called on to finish, recording his 5th save. Chesapeake has now won 6 straight.

The Saboteurs had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Cangrejos Fantasmas going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old first baseman Melvin Barnett came to the plate. Barnett hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch curveball from Toledo hurler Ed Pearce. It was Barnett's 6th home run of the year.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Barnett. "And not try to do too much."
