Felipe López never let the Polar Bears get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Blues to a win, 5-0. The winning pitcher was López, now 5-3. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. The Blues now have a record of 22-21 with the win over Billings.

The Blues got a big hit from designated hitter Leonardo Valdéz. In the bottom of the fifth, Valdéz pounded a 2-run double to left-center. His 7th double of the season put the Blues ahead, 4-0.
