Bethesda Gets 3-2 Win
|
The Bethesda Atoms had to overcome a fine performance from Squirrel Hill pitcher In-chor Im to grab a 3-2 win at Field of the Rawhides. Im allowed 3 runs over 8.1 innings. Earning his 4th save for Bethesda was Frank Cunningham. With the win, Bethesda pushed its record to 19-19.
Bethesda used a well-timed hit by José Arellano to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Atoms ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Arellano.
