Guinea Pigs Run Win Streak to 7

Gwinnett Guinea Pigs starter Homer Sanders was in fine form against the Barton Springs Blues at Blues Field, leading his team to a win, 3-2. With the victory, the Guinea Pigs upped their record to 24-10.
It could have been a different outcome for Gwinnett, had it not been for Freek Derksen, the 24-year old right fielder . Derksen contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Gwinnett up, 2-1.
After the game, Gwinnett manager Cody Jaeckel applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
