Fighting Imps Pull Even With 4-1 Victory
Ithaca pitcher Vic Trewick did his part in helping his team beat the Billings Polar Bears, 4-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Trewick, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. The win gives Ithaca a season record of 12-12.

In the top of the eighth, Paul Hutchins stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Polar Bears were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Luis Silva made a terrific pitch and Hutchins grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Billings comeback.
