The Alameda Airmen picked up a win at Waterfall Park, taking down the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-1. Starting pitcher Urmas Koskela was a big reason why. Koskela, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Ricardo Méndez recorded the save for Alameda, his 2nd of the season.

Alameda relied on the bat of Fernando Morales to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Airmen ahead, 4-0. For the game, Morales had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
