The Mancelona Torch topped the Cut Off Crawdads, 11-2, in M3L Single A action at Torch Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mancelona catcher Tai Kuo. Mancelona goes to 3-2.

The Crawdads had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Torch going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old third baseman Sam Ávila came to the plate. Ávila hit a 2-run double on a 2-0 fastball from Cut Off hurler Michael Leal. It was Ávila's 1st double of the year.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Mancelona manager Bernardo Hernández.
