Airmen Get One-Run Win at Niagara Falls
|
The Alameda Airmen topped the Niagara Falls Expos, 5-4, in M3L Single A action at Waterfall Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Alameda pitcher Jason Kofod. Kofod, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. The loss lowers the Niagara Falls record to 3-1.
It could have been a different outcome for Alameda, had it not been for Guan-cai Khoo, the 22-year old third baseman . Khoo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Alameda up, 4-3.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Kofod said.
