Lefty Riley Leads Barton Springs to 3-1 Win
|
The Barton Springs Blues topped the Akron Blimps, 3-1, in USSL Double A action at Blues Field. The standout performance belonged to Barton Springs pitcher and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native Ryan Riley. The Blimps, now 5-13, continue their sluggish start.
Riley, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 3-0. In 8 innings of work, Riley gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while racking up 6 Ks. He kept the Blimps punchless, offensively.
Riley told a Barton Springs Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
