Generals Snatch Late Win
|
Kerry Carcia helped his team muscle past the Kingston Mangos, 6-4. In the game, the Washington first baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Nobuatsu Toshishai picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Dan Rasmussen was tagged with the loss. Augusto Rey was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Washington took a 4-3 lead on Marvello Millon's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Millon hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kingston pitcher Dan Rasmussen shaking his head.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Millon.
Washington has a record of 1-3.
