The Akron Blimps beat the Barton Springs Blues by a score of 6-4. Akron catcher Keith Wilfred deserved the lion's share of the credit. Wilfred went 2 for 5 with a home run for the Blimps. William Kelly got credit for the save for Akron. It was his 2nd of the year. The Blimps have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 5th win in 17 games.

Akron used the bat of Carlos Campos to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blimps ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Blimps manager Chua-kah Liu. "This one was nice to get."
