Barton Springs took on Providence in front of a lively crowd.

Right-hander Miguel Ávila mesmerized the Providence Pilgrims while leading the Barton Springs Blues to a 7-0 victory. With the loss, Providence is 7-8.

Ávila, who was born in Villa Fundación, Dominican Republic, threw 105 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no runs.

"I thought we played a nice game," Ávila told the Barton Springs Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
