Schroeder Slugs Guinea Pigs to 9-5 Win
Gwinnett designated hitter Chandler Schroeder had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Akron Blimps, 9-5. Now 4-10, the Blimps have gotten off to a poor start.

Schroeder had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from António del Pozo, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Guinea Pigs a 5-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Schroeder.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Schroeder told the Gwinnett Times. "It's as simple as that."
