Walker Excels, But Saboteurs Win
Tim Walker had a good game, but he could not keep the Bethesda Atoms from falling, 10-8, to the Toledo Saboteurs at Atoms Field. The Bethesda right fielder went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Les Wright, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. Cristo Sánchez closed the game out for Toledo, earning his 3rd save.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Rich Pope was at the plate when Toledo scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Saboteurs to go in front, 8-7.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Toledo skipper Will Thomas.

The win takes Toledo to 8-5.
