Tacoma got a strong outing from Gabriel García as the Fur Traders defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 6-0, at Ballpark of Tacoma. The Fur Traders now own a record of 47-41.

The Fur Traders got an important contribution from first baseman Kerry Carcia, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 0-1 cutter into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Fur Traders ahead, 4-0.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said García.
