Farmers Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Lancaster Farmers and Westwood Sixshooters.

The Lancaster Farmers topped the Westwood Sixshooters, 9-8, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lancaster first baseman Bernardo Beltrán. Arnel Lazaro was credited with the save for Lancaster, his 2nd of the season.

The Farmers got a big boost from second baseman Konrad Velthuizen who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the eighth inning off Sixshooters hurler John Wallace. It was his 25th walk of the season and put Lancaster on top, 8-7.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Velthuizen said.

After today's action, Lancaster sits at 37-50, while Westwood falls to 44-43.
