Highlanders Rally For Late Win Over Krewe
Getting a good performance from right fielder Gabriel Montaño, the Asheville Highlanders defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 8-3. Montaño went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Highlanders. Tom Young notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-1. The Highlanders go to 32-49 with the win.

Asheville relied on the bat of Evan Segar to get the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 4-3. For the game, Segar had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Montaño told a Asheville Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
