Fur Traders Top Lake Minnetonka, 3-2
|
Tacoma Fur Traders starter Gabriel García hurled his team past the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 3-2. Tacoma, at 38-35, occupies third place in the Menard's AA.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Garth Morrison came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Lake Minnetonka pitcher Rick Scott, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tacoma on top, 3-2.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said García.
