Yi Leads Thunder to Win
The St. Petersburg Thunder relied on the hitting of right fielder Won-shik Yi to stop the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 11-4. For the game, Yi belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. St. Petersburg reliever Shusui Suzuki picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Larry Larsen was saddled with the loss. The 6th-place Thunder are 36-35.

St. Petersburg used a timely hit from Scott Thomas to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Thunder ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Thomas.
