Dirty Reds Deal Coeur 10-8 Loss
|
Despite a great performance by St. Louis left fielder Rafael Martínez, the San Mateo Dirty Reds defeated the Coeur by the score of 10-8 at The BFIB. Martínez slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. At 29-47, San Mateo is in last place in the Premier League.
San Mateo used the timely hitting of Esteban Sifuentes to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put the Dirty Reds on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Sifuentes told the San Mateo Daily.
