Love Boats Stick Fur Traders with 2-0 Loss
|
Lake Minnetonka starter Larry Larsen put a stranglehold on the Tacoma offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Love Boats to a 2-0 win. Larsen got the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Larsen allowed no runs. The 7th-place Fur Traders have lost 5 consecutive games.
The Love Boats had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Lake Minnetonka, with one out. Tacoma, with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Ernesto Pájaro dug in at the plate, but on a full count fastball, he struck out.
