Beltrán, Farmers Too Much for Ghosts
|
Lancaster first baseman Bernardo Beltrán had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Casper Ghosts, 6-3. Wu-shun Feng notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. Lancaster occupies 10th place in the Menard's AA at 20-28.
Beltrán had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Rafael Márquez, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Farmers a 6-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Beltrán.
"I liked the focus, I liked the effort," said Farmers manager Tracy Williams.
