Highlanders Pull Even With 3-1 Victory
Asheville pitcher Coy Stewart did his part in helping his team beat the Lancaster Farmers, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 5.2 innings, Stewart surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The victory gives Asheville a record of 15-15.

Asheville third baseman Eric Summers contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 18th hit of the season and put the Highlanders ahead, 1-0.
