George Lifts Nationals to 8-7 Triumph
|
Justin George batted in 3 runs to lead Ottawa to a win over Lancaster. The final score was 8-7. George chipped in with 2 singles and 1 home run. Gary Dillon closed the game out for Ottawa, earning his 4th save. Ottawa raised its record to 17-9 with the win.
Ottawa used the bat of Jaicus Saracho to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Nationals ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Ottawa manager Justin Broadfoot.
