Farmers Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Krewe
|
The Lancaster Farmers defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 4-0, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field. Lancaster pitcher Ken John had a standout performance. John, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing no runs. With the win, Lancaster raised its record to 12-12.
The Farmers got a big at-bat from catcher José Sandoval, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Farmers on top, 2-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Lancaster skipper Tracy Williams.
