Irving picked up a win at Blue Sox Ballpark, bumping off the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 3-2. Pitcher Chin-yau Tu was a major reason the Blue Sox emerged victorious. Irving reliever Jim Nasium was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Dan Young. The win takes Irving to 8-10.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Love Boats allowed the Blue Sox to score the winning run.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Lake Minnetonka skipper Doug Green.
