Tight Tilt Goes to Farmers, 2-1
|
Milton Houston pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, despite Houston's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Lancaster Farmers at Heron Field. Satya Soedjatmoko picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 4 in 5 innings. Yefim Vistunov closed the door for Lancaster, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Lancaster used the bat of Greg Green to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Farmers ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Green told the Lancaster Bulletin. "Whatever it takes."
With the loss, Lake Minnetonka is 9-6.
