Farmers Pick Up 8-2 Win
|
The Lancaster Farmers beat the Asheville Highlanders by a score of 8-2. Lancaster catcher Rafael Navia deserved the lion's share of the credit. Navia went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Farmers. With the loss, Asheville sinks to 8-4.
In the bottom of the sixth, Lancaster shortstop Gary Davis put his team on top. With two out and the bases loaded, he hit his 1st triple of the year. Asheville pitcher Cory Black served it up. Just like that, the Farmers were ahead, 4-2.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Davis. "And not try to do too much."
