The St. Petersburg Thunder defeated the Lancaster Farmers, 6-5, at Farmers Field today. Leading the charge for St. Petersburg was designated hitter Won-shik Yi. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Joe Belcher, the winner, goes to 1-1. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. Earning his 4th save of the year was Miguel Moreno.

Yi put St. Petersburg up, 5-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Ken John in the top of the fifth. His 1st home run of the season helped the Thunder capture the win.
