Enríques belts 2 home runs, Leads Patriots to Win
The Boston Patriots defeated the Athletic Club KC, 8-6, at Athletics Park today. Leading the charge for Boston was designated hitter César Enríques. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Jorge Gil earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record is now 1-0. Adrián Gómez got credit for the save for Boston. It was his 1st of the year.

Enríques had a timely hit for Boston in the top of the sixth. With Athletic Club KC trailing 5-2, he turned a 2-2 cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 6-5, Boston.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Enríques told the Boston Observer.

The loss puts Athletic Club KC at 2-5.
