|
The Hollywood Shredders saddled the Nova Scotia Leviathan with a loss at The Hollywood Bowl. The final score was 5-3. Yamato Sato was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Hollywood designated hitter scored 1 run and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Shem Burkholder. He tossed 104 pitches over 8.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The Shredders saw their win-loss record go to 40-23. At the same time, the Leviathan fell to 28-35.
Sato had a timely hit for Hollywood in the bottom of the sixth. With Nova Scotia trailing 3-2, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Hollywood.
