Love Boats Turn Back Sixshooters, 5-4
The Westwood Sixshooters and Lake Minnetonka Love Boats provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats took Westwood pitcher Allen Simon's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Sixshooters Stadium. The final score had Lake Minnetonka getting past the Sixshooters, 5-4. Simon went 7 innings and allowed 5 runs, striking out 4. The win puts Lake Minnetonka at 4-3.

The result might have been different, had it not been for Buddy Gordon, the Lake Minnetonka center fielder. Gordon had a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Love Boats ahead, 5-4. For the game, Gordon had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Gordon told the Lake Minnetonka Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
