Flyers Come Up Short at Austin, 2-1
Austin Black Mambas starter Felipe López was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Pennsauken Flyers, 2-1. The win puts Austin at 38-61.

The Black Mambas got a big at-bat from first baseman Elijah Scott. For the game, Scott was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Austin a 2-1 lead.

"I told our guys, 'Runs don't score by themselves,'" said Scott. "You need someone to get on base and someone to drive them in."
