Monsters Deal Pajaritos 4-3 Defeat

The Monongahela Monsters topped the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-3, in USSL Triple A action at Norfolk Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Monongahela pitcher Ángel Santingo. Santingo, now 4-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The win elevated the Monsters to 59-40.
With Monongahela leading 3-0 in the top of the third, Sébastien Guillaume hit a run-scoring single off Norfolk pitcher Stephen Palmer. It put the Monsters ahead 4-0.
"We played hard and won," said Santingo. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
