Warriors Slip Past Monongahela, 2-1

The Forest City Warriors topped the Monongahela Monsters, 2-1, in USSL Triple A action at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Forest City pitcher Billy Hansen. At 43-49, Forest City is in 7th place in the Silver AAA.
Forest City used the timely hitting of Tim Hendricks to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Warriors on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Hendricks said.
