Starks Win, 2-1, at Forest City

The Syracuse Starks did just enough to sneak past the Forest City Warriors, 2-1, at League Park. Syracuse second baseman Asvarya Konduru, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Hendrikjan Zweers in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Raúl Nieves took the loss. With the win, Syracuse upped its record to 54-35.
With Syracuse leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Konduru hit a fastball from Raúl Nieves for a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Starks ahead, 2-0.
"This team is real focused right now," said Syracuse manager Ramón García.
