The Syracuse Starks topped the Norfolk Pajaritos, 7-3, in USSL Triple A action at Norfolk Field. The standout performance belonged to Syracuse designated hitter and Bluffdale, Utah, native Rafael Trujillo. Zuo-lin Liang, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 6-8. The Starks improved to 51-35.

The Starks got a big hit from shortstop Rafael Gutiérrez. In the top of the fifth, Gutiérrez pounded a bases-clearing triple to center. His 1st triple of the season put the Starks ahead, 5-1.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Trujillo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
