The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys downed the Monongahela Monsters, 8-1. The hitting star was center fielder Luis Enríquez. Enríquez went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Squirrel Monkeys. The Squirrel Monkeys now have a record of 52-31 with the win over Monongahela.

Stone Wright put Syracuse in front, 7-1, when he took Todd Dean downtown. His 3-run home run came with two out in the top of the seventh. It was his 18th home run of the season.
