Warriors Slap 4-2 Loss on Pajaritos
|
Forest City picked up a win at Norfolk Field, toppling the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-2. Pitcher Leonardo Sánchez was one of the reasons the Warriors triumphed. Sánchez picked up the win for Forest City, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Cédric Barbot earned the save for Forest City, his 2nd of the year.
Forest City used the bat of Sariyah Fateen to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Warriors ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Forest City manager Morton Kelly. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The Warriors, at 37-44, have now won 5 straight.
