Bob Giles helped his team muscle past the Norfolk Pajaritos, 8-6. In the game, the Forest City catcher went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Elliot Roebuck, 4-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on no hits in 2.1 innings. Cédric Barbot sewed up the save, his 1st.
Forest City used the clutch hitting of Rommel Fflunker to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Warriors ahead, 8-5. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Fflunker said.
