Red Pandas Score Late to Upend Flyers, 4-2
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas got the win.
Rafael Abasto left his imprint on the 4-2 Sioux Falls win against the Pennsauken Flyers. Abasto was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 8th-place Red Pandas raised their record to 36-44.
Abasto had a timely hit for Sioux Falls in the bottom of the eighth. With Pennsauken trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 4-2, Sioux Falls.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Abasto told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
