Regueir Lifts Monsters to 7-3 Win
In the 7-3 Monongahela win over Austin, the impact of Piedade Regueir was substantial. Regueir, who is tied for 8th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 19, went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Monongahela pitcher Brian Thomas got the win. He's now 10-2. Miguel Ávila was tagged with the loss. The Monsters have an impressive 48-29 record.

With Monongahela leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Regueir came up to bat against Austin pitcher Miguel Ávila. Regueir hit a splitter to right for a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season put the Monsters on top, 3-1.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Regueir told the Monongahela News. "But we take nothing for granted."
