Syracuse shortstop Bob Hargrove helped his team beat the Austin Black Mambas, 6-3. Hargrove, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in RBI with 43, went 2 for 4 for the Squirrel Monkeys. Stuart Chase was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Chris Edwards finished the game for Syracuse and earned his 22nd save.

With Syracuse leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Hargrove hit a fastball from Felipe López for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 5-0.
