The Hartford Pride faced a tough opponent in Sioux Falls pitcher Qian Pei, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Bamboo Forest by a final score of 8-6. Pei went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Wessel de Best came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The loss makes Sioux Falls 32-37.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Barend Huijbregts hit a 1-0 fastball from Ronald McDonald for a run-scoring single. It put Hartford in front, 7-6.

In postgame remarks, Huijbregts simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
