Red Pandas Collect 6-5 Win Over Pride
Led by Marcos Vargas, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas downed the Hartford Pride, 6-5. Vargas went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Red Pandas. Sioux Falls reliever Ronald McDonald picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Francisco Díaz absorbed the loss. The 8th-place Red Pandas improved to 31-36.

Sioux Falls won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Francisco Díaz on the mound for Hartford, left fielder Ron Whitney hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Red Pandas fans to their feet.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Vargas said.
